Solana's first rewards-driven NFT marketplace

Overview

RedPill aims to bring token incentivized NFT trading to Solana. Similar to LooksRare on Ethereum, distribution of tokens are used to reward users as they trade NFTs on the platform.

Coming from a strong finance and technology background, the team lacked product and commercial experience. They approached W3BLEN to produce the platform's UX, branding, go-to-market strategy, and source first hires.

Areas we covered

1. Rebranding

  • To achieve an elevated and strategic brand uplift, W3BLEN performed a complete overhaul of RedPill's visual presence, from a revised logo, coherent color palette, to a unique graphic system revolving around the idea of the "Red Pill" in the Matrix itself. Inspiration was drawn from cinematographic references and crafted a distinctively dark, mature yet elegant and quirky universe for RedPill.

2. Marketplace UI/UX

  • Nuclear design approach - deconstruction and reconstruction of the entire UI kit, with new  design components and UX improvements across the board. All items were also redesigned to match the revised brand identity applied to UI.
  • Remapping of the user navigation, with a focus on user conversion and retention.
  • Design of new key features and functionalities that were previously omitted, such as verified cues, extensive filtering and sharing options, a structured homepage to display upcoming launches, top collections, top NFTs and a guided walk-through to use the platform, a blog section that acts as an FAQ, an about page with Twitter feed integration, broken down into clear sections displaying current and upcoming features + roadmap.

3. Marketing & Creative Support

  • Ongoing production of motion graphics and animated trailers, videos to highlight the platform's USPs and support general announcements
  • Creative design to accompany social media content
  • Overall art direction across everything that RedPill communicates

4. Commercial Strategy & Positioning

  • Working with the team to produce a go-to-market strategy, content scheduling, and commercial positioning
  • Establishing partnerships with NFT projects and alpha groups to growth hack their community
  • Brought on community managers and discord moderators
  • Provided strategic introductions to investors and interested parties interested in acquiring the marketplace (for negotiations with the exchange).
